The Industrial Maintenance Department consists of two separate programs of instruction; Industrial Maintenance and Welding. To learn more about each of these program, simply click on the program of interest above.
A student, interested in a career in an industrial environment, will find it easier to obtain the desired multi-crafted skills as demanded by employers. Having these programs under one department, facilitates the student's opportunities for training in several technologies. This provides the student with additional multi-craft skills which provides more job opportunities.
So that others may recognize the accomplishments of our students, six certificates, one diploma, and two Associate Degrees are offered. Naturally, the higher credential will provide more job opportunities and higher salaries to the graduate.
Current job market conditions are excellent for graduates of both programs. There is a high demand for individuals with these skills, especially multi-crafted individuals. In addition, starting salaries are excellent! Typically, a graduate with a an Associate Degree will see average starting salaries in the $12.00 to $18.00 per hour range. These salary figures are based on an individual who has no prior experience in the field. Naturally, if you have work experience, you could possibly find the starting salaries to be higher.
